Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis is all business and spoke ahead of his emotionless mindset ahead of the fight.
‘Tank’ is a brutal knockout merchant who takes people out of the equation.
Tonight is no different in his eyes.
Speaking to Stephen A. Smith on ESPN ‘Tank’ Davis said:
“I’m not that personal with him, you know, but through boxing, we came up together. We had similar friends and connections in the boxing world. We’ve fought before, so I’m familiar with his fighting style and things like that. But it’s been years since I fought him, so I don’t know. It’s just cool to have someone from that area—I’m from Baltimore, Maryland—so it’s great to get us both in the ring together on the pro level now.”
Davis beat Roach twice in the amateurs but that counts for nothing.
Roach is a dangerous fighter tonight and is well up for the fight — Davis will have to be on point.
