Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis looks as locked in as opponent Lamont Roach is tonight in boxing.
Both have been relaxed this week as they have put the work in.
Speaking to Fight Hub and others in a media scrum Davis said:
“Yeah, but Lamont’s not that type of fighter. He will. I think he’ll try to punch with me. Thinking about it, yeah, he probably will. He’s got good timing—that’s what people don’t see. They might say he’s small or whatever, but we’re the same size. On fight night, he might even be a little bigger than me. As a fighter, you’re supposed to respect the person across the ring from you. That’s how I always approach a fight—I respect the guy until I figure him out in there. Once the fight goes on, you see what he’s good at, take that away from him, and start breaking him down.”
All the work is done now.
Between now and fight time tonight both fighters will be going over the game plan, and game plans, with their teams and resting right around now.
