The Gervonta Davis vs Lamont Roach fight has got the entire world of boxing talking.
So much so it has reached Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman in Australia this week as he gets ready for his comeback.
Speaking to Jai McAllister YouTube ‘One Time’ said:
“I didn’t see it, but I got all the feedback. I’m looking forward to watching it. People say Tank didn’t really win—he got a majority draw, which means it had to be a close fight, maybe a tough one to call. At the end of the day, when it’s a draw like that and an action-packed fight, run it back. I’m pretty sure the fans will watch it one more time. I didn’t get to see it, but one of my coaches said no. A lot of onlookers say yes. I want to watch how it occurred because technically, when you take a knee, it’s unfortunate, but if there was some outside factor that got into his eye—I don’t know—you’re walking a grey line. Things aren’t necessarily black or white, so it’s a tough call. You don’t want one little decision to change the whole fight, but in sports, sometimes it is one thing a referee or judge does that determines who wins or loses. Luckily for him, he didn’t have that scenario because the fight was close enough that if a point had been deducted, he would’ve walked away not as world champion. I’m looking forward to looking back at all the drama—that’s fun.”
Thurman fights Brock Jarvis this weekend in Australia.
Thurman is coming into this with a three year lay off and a two a half year lay off before that.
People are wondering what kind of fight he will put on this weekend in Sydney.
