May 2nd will see Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia box on the same bill in New York a year plus past their first fight.
A fight initially Garcia won on points and dropped Haney in but was later changed to a no contest after Garcia was found to have trace amounts of a prohibited substance in his system, something Garcia strongly still denies after now serving nearly a one year suspension.
Speaking at the presser ahead of May 2nd Haney said:
“Yeah, I mean, at the end of the day I fought somebody who was on PEDS so that’s how that fight was but we move forward and the world want to see what Devin Haney is going to show up and I look to give everybody all of them answers on May 2nd.”
Haney takes on Jose Ramirez on May 2nd.
Garcia takes on Rolly Romero on the same card and if both win a Haney vs Garcia rematch is set for later this year.
