Boxing star Canelo Alvarez has added his weight to an already hot potato in the sport of boxing.
Last weekend’s Gervonta Davis vs Lamont Roach fight ending in a draw caused an eruption in the boxing world.
Canelo while speaking on the launch of his next fight against William Scull has said he believes Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis should have been disqualified.
The controversy all centres around round nine where Davis took a knee at one point that was not scored a knockdown.
Boxer Davis citing afterwards that there was grease in his eye from his hair from the reason for taking the knee.
Many think Alvarez and Davis are the two biggest stars in terms of drawing power in the sport — so the above packs a bit of a punch coming from Alvarez to say the least.
