Lamont Roach Clears Up False Lawsuit Claims After Tank Draw

Lamont Roach Clears Up False Lawsuit Claims After Tank Draw

Lamont Roach is now a household name in America and parts of the world and rightly so following his fight with Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

A fight he didn’t win but some thought he did in what was scored a majority draw.

After the fight his legal team simply filed an appeal on his behalf as we at Boxing News and Views, and others, reported, however Roach has hit out on X at some that went further who wrongly said he was suing which was not the case:

“Look man I’m going tell yall straight up I aint sue nobody. STFU. MY TEAM submitted an appeal on my behalf. What it look like not having a team that don’t pull that trigger on some s*** that they know was wrong. They stood up for me. So all that lawsuit s*** yall can put to rest.”

That clears the air there then.

Lamont Roach is not a boxer who is not afraid to be brutally honest — which is always refreshing.

He was well within his rights of course to file an appeal.

Ultimately, the rematch now looks like it will very likely happen next up which is what both boxers and boxing fans want.

The rematch is huge now after the first fight’s controversy and both will train even harder shortly for the rematch.

It will be interesting to see where they stage the fight.

It surely makes sense to have it in New York again after such an attendance and atmosphere — and a great gate.
