Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman has been in rare form ahead of his comeback this week in Australia on fire he is.
Thurman has trained relentlessly for his fight on Fox Australia this Wed against Brock Jarvis.
But he’s been dropping puns in excellent form ahead of the fight as well, in jovial mentality before getting down to hammer time saying at the last conference before heavy digs and bombs are unleashed:
“Man, he (Brock Jarvis) moves like a cardboard box on wheels. It’s like a Tetris board in action—he’s square and has no head movement. I’m a two-time world champion, and I’ve seen this time and time again. I’m not trying to underestimate him; I’m just analyzing the opponent in front of me. It’s not my fault he’s square, has no head movement, and believes he can drop bombs on an old man and I’ll crumble. Look, I want to drop bombs too, and I won’t miss. I’m going to punch a hole in your head. That’s all you’re going to do—miss. I’ll hit you, and I’ll hurt you. Just remember that. I’m going to hit you, and I’m going to hurt you.”
Some have slated Thurman ahead of the fight for inactivity and even Shawn Porter saying he thinks Thurman will get hurt badly this week.
Thurman wouldn’t have gone all the way to Australia if he hadn’t paid the price in the gym, he wouldn’t be talking like this either unless he was ready.
Jarvis is a lot younger though and will have no ring rust compared to Thurman, important to note.
