Some big news in the heavyweight division has now been made forthcoming at the top of the pile for the undisputed champion Usyk.
Usyk who recently beat former champion Tyson Fury twice is flying high now as the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world and for many, either number one or number two pound for pound best boxers on Earth.
The WBO per their official X account have ordered he takes on Joseph Parker of New Zealand next up.
They have ordered both their teams to begin talks to make the fight.
That’s interesting as Parker recently beat Martin Bakole by knockout inside the distance after IBF heavyweight champion was forced to withdraw from the fight with Dubois at last minute due to illness.
That means an IBF heavyweight title shot is now available to someone else potentially other than Parker next if he takes on Usyk for the undisputed championship, so if that happens, it will be interesting to see who gets the shot at IBF champion Dubois instead.
Maybe Anthony Joshua will look to get the rematch with Dubois or maybe someone like Tyson Fury will make a comeback again to fight him, who knows, maybe even Kubrat Pulev or someone else will get the shot at Dubois.
