Callum Walsh has some heavy hitters with him on his team and they are being proved right all the time.
Tom Loeffler who is involved now in promoting Ireland’s Callum Walsh who won last night by knockout said to Fight Hub:
“I keep forgetting he’s only 24 years old. When I started working with Triple G (Gennady Golovkin), he was already 30. Callum’s 24, with 13 fights now—11 knockouts—and just the ice in his veins. He’s come a long way.”
Interesting comparison from Loeffler, nobody really picked up on that over the weekend or beforehand.
Loeffler has also promoted the Klitschko brothers so has a good scouting eye for big potential in pro boxing — suffice to say the above words from him come with a lot of merit.
Golovkin had ice is in his veins as well.
As long as Walsh lives the life of a professional fighter and doesn’t indulge in substances like alcohol to excess, and continues improving as he has, there is no reason he can’t fight for and potentially win the world title.
Walsh also has Dana White and UFC Fight Pass as part of his promotional team and can do good things in the sport, no doubt about that of course.
