Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently hit back at retirement reports at a changing time for the sport of boxing.
Times are changing and the sport is growing, in many, many countries, pretty much everywhere.
TKO Boxing is a new venture being started by Dana White and Turki Alalshikh, and Nick Khan, in 2025, to take boxing to new levels.
Speaking to Fight Hype Hearn noted on the world title belt organizations — in terms of it maybe not suiting them:
“No, because I think it’ll be their own belt. You’ll be fighting for whatever it’s called—League, TKO, whatever. But you have to look at the level of competitor. They might not be fighting for championship belts anyway, because I don’t think the guys starting in this league are at world championship level.”
Dana White is already in boxing with promoting Callum Walsh but TKO boxing is promoting boxing on a grand scale.
The nuts and bolts on it all appear to be still being assembled on the assembly line, however.
