WBA Reacts To Olympics 1st Woman IOC President At LA 2028

Wba Reacts To Olympics First Ever Woman

The World Boxing Association have given their response to the Olympics at 2028 having their first female President at the IOC.

Times are changing in the sport and in professional sport over all too.

Boxing is back big time and has now been officially included as a sport at the Olympics in LA 2028, and will be ran by World Boxing lead by their chairman Gennady Golovkin.

That will still be overseen by the IOC however who have confirmed their first ever female President of their organization for LA 2028 to which the WBA (World Boxing Association) said on X:

“The WBA congratulates Kirsty Coventry on her election as President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)! The Zimbabwean becomes the first woman in history to hold this position. Olympic sports are in great hands!”

Big news for boxing and the Olympics.

Substantial developments.

Roll on the next Olympics already.
