There has been a lot of death of some of boxing’s old guard this weekend in all aspects unfortunately.
Boxing legend and former heavyweight champion George Foreman passed away which rocked the sport to its core.
Now renowned UK journalist Colin Hart, who spent many years covering the sport going back to the Ali and Foreman days, has passed. Here is some of the reaction from the boxing world on X:
Hart worked for the Sun newspaper in a time years ago where print media and television media, and radio, were all bigger things than they are today — as the print, radio and TV continue to come to an end as online new media continues to take off.
Hart got boxing in the papers back in the old days when it wasn’t always easy to do.
Rest in peace to him and condolences to his loved ones.
