The passing of George Foreman this weekend has brought about a plethora of well wishes in boxing and beyond.
Respected trainer and analyst Teddy Atlas being the latest.
Speaking on X Atlas noted:
“He was a Special fighter & a Special person, put here for a Special reason. To teach us anything was possible, if u believed it was.”
So well said by Teddy, really.
Foreman did the impossible when he came back to become the oldest heavyweight champion in history.
Boxing is one of those special sports where sometimes, frequently actually, the impossible happens.
It makes people believe that impossible is nothing — because impossible is nothing.
