One of the main men in boxing worldwide now is obviously Saudi Arabian adviser Turki Alalshikh.
It wasn’t long ago Mayweather Promotions were putting on huge events but less and less so in recent years, likely that will change soon though with CEO Richard Schaefer on board.
When asked by Fight Hype recently on Turki Alalshikh who has played a huge part in making big fights happen again — Floyd Mayweather played things down respectfully:
“Oh no, I don’t know. I never met him. He seems like a pretty cool guy, but I can’t really speak on his situation or another fighter’s situation. I’m just sharing my outlook on life, my approach to investments, and giving the younger generation some advice.”
Well measured response from Mayweather as always.
Class act Mayweather, same with Turki Alalshikh.
Hopefully more and more of the best fighters facing the best happens in the time ahead — which we are sure will be the case.
