Robert Duran has heard of the death of George Foreman and has reacted to the saw news that has shook the boxing world.
The news of Foreman’s passing continues to hit people hard this week in boxing and around the world.
A brutal bone breaking merchant of a fighter but a top class man of honor at the same time.
Speaking on social media Duran said of the saw news:
“Good morning family. I was very saddened to hear of the passing of my friend and great champion, George Foreman.. From champion to champion… Foreman you gone but your name lives on forever. Your strength, your story, your return to the ring when no one expected it… that only makes him a true warrior. I didn’t have to face you to know how great you were. My heart goes out to your family and all of us who admire you. Gone is a great one, one of those who are not born anymore.”
So many champions and fighters have shared their respects and words for Foreman.
Maybe more than any recent champion boxer passing in recent times — maybe since Muhammad Ali.
Foreman was the last of the heavyweight era still alive — gone but never forgotten of course.
