Terence Crawford will be a huge underdog against Canelo Alvarez but in typical ‘Bud’ fashion he is chilled here.
Canelo must beat William Scull first up in May for the fight to happen, of course.
Many fighters have been trying to dissect the fight. Not easy to do.
That said, Crawford is getting ready now and told Manouk Akopyan recently:
“Well listen I’ve been doubted my whole career. If you ask anyone who’s followed me they’ll tell you the media and all the negative things people said about Terence Crawford along the way. They’d never have thought I’d be where I am now. But I did. It’s funny because I’ve heard this my whole career: ‘I’m too small for this guy,’ ‘This guy’s too strong,’ ‘This guy punches too hard,’ ‘I don’t have a chin,’ or ‘I’m this, I’m that.’”
He added:
“I just take it all in and laugh. Those fighters and people with these negative thoughts about Terence Crawford have never been in the ring with me so it doesn’t even bother me. Me and Canelo it’s going to be a tough fight for both of us.”
Soon enough Crawford will once more look to do the impossible.
Something he has made a career and life out of doing.
Over and over again.
