Michael Magnesi is has become the numero uno in boxing in Italy with this win for the ‘Lone Wolf’.
Michael Magnesi beat Khalil El Hadri of France after 12 rounds on scorecards of 115-114, 115-113 and 115-113 last night in Rome for the WBC silver super featherweight championship of the world.
Speaking on Instagram after the fight Magnesi and his team posted the above photo and captioned it as saying:
“We promised you and we kept it. AND THE NEWWW @wbcboxing @wbcmoro”
Well done to Magnesi, his fan base in Italy and Europe is growing all the time as he is also improving as a fighter all the time.
Magnesi has now as we predicted years ago would — become the main man for boxing in Italy.
Good to see more professional boxing being put on in Italy as well with this.
With DAZN in Italy surely the likes of Eddie Hearn and Matchroom, who have done some okay but smaller events in Italy, can maybe take a look at putting on some more proper bigger professional events in Italy.
He can surely use the likes of Magnesi and others to sell tickets.
The win last night improved Magnesi’s record to 25-2-13 KO.
