One of the great boxers of all-time and the WBC President were at a ceremony with the Mexican head of State this weekend.
Obviously that’s great for boxing that two of Mexico’s main people in the sport were honored at such a big stage with Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo.
The WBC (World Boxing Council) speaking on Instagram said (Spanish to English translation)
“Today in the morning, our president Claudia Sheinbaum in the company of the great Mexican champion Julio César Chavez, Mauricio Sulaiman and Migue Torruco Garza, was made the presentation of the historic mass boxing class for peace and against addictions.”
The WBC continue to great things in boxing not only in Latin America but in North America and around the world as well.
The new Grand Prix tournament for boxing later this year shows much promise as well.
