People don’t realize how serious talks were recently between Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson.
Some thought it was not happening but it turns out there was even a contract offered now long ago.
Speaking to IFL TV Shakur Stevenson said of ‘Tank’ and a fight with him:
“No I don’t want to wait but I wouldn’t mind if it came down to it. If Tank, not Eddie, said, ‘We’ll fight in September for sure’ and there was a contract on the table. then I’d wait for him.”
Eddie Hearn promoter of Stevenson knows how big a Gervonta Davis fight would be.
It looks like Davis is rematching Lamont Peterson first up however this summer which is a huge fight first.
