Long time not fond of one another Bob Arum and Dana White soon will both be fully in the boxing business at the same time.
That in itself is going to make for interesting viewing to fans and organizers.
White has pioneered the UFC to where it is today with help from a lot of great people, as has Arum done with his Top Rank in boxing with the same being said.
The two have never liked one another to say the least.
White now promotes young Callum Walsh for a while in boxing and soon he and Turki Alalshikh’s TKO Boxing will be coming to life.
Speaking to Fight Hub Hall of Famer Arum said of TKO Boxing:
“They have a real problem because their main business is the UFC. When UFC fighters see how little they get paid compared to boxers and it’s coming from the same company Dana’s going to have his hands full.”
Time will tell.
Let’s see how the whole thing plays out.
Top Rank’s ESPN deal is reportedly up in boxing this summer.
That said, the Mikaela Mayer fight at the weekend became the most watched women’s boxing match in history with just under one million viewers.
Something that surely will have impressed ESPN a little bit.
Times are changing in boxing and professional sport.
And in a bigger — better way — than ever before.
Good times ahead for boxing, rest assured.
