Earlier on it has been confirmed that Oleksandr Usyk has extended his heavyweight career in the sport.
The undisputed heavyweight champion is some way away from retiring from boxing it would appear.
Speaking to the Stomping Ground earlier Hearn said on his remarks recently that suggested Usyk could retire soon or now:
“I said the other day about Usyk, I got some flak for it, that I think he should retire. Not because he’s fading but because he’s done everything. How incredible would it be? A fight with Dubois is a chance to become a two-time undisputed heavyweight champ.”
He added:
“He’s already beaten Dubois but it’s a tough fight especially with Daniel’s momentum. Even if it’s stalled a bit with the illness. Dubois is still going to be a handful. If that gets made for Wembley it’d be great.”
Good points.
Dubois when he is well is dangerous for anyone.
The division is buzzing again after Usyk deciding to stick around and likely Fury will be back at some point too.
There’s plenty of other fights and former champions in the mix too of course.
Many are sleeping on Joseph Parker a lot — he’s come on and improved a great deal.
