Today is April 1st and the official Turki Alalshikh account on X has been putting out some odd posts today.
Well, certainly one of them.
Turki Alalshikh has played a huge part in getting interest in boxing again over the last year putting on great fights that fans have enjoyed.
However a short time ago he posted on X:
“Dear fans, Today marks our final day in boxing. I want to thank everyone who has been part of this journey with me. To my dear friends scheduled to fight on the London and NYC cards, I apologize for the time and effort you put into training camp. I wish you the best of luck in your future fights, as those two events have now been officially cancelled. Yours, Turki”
Most think that is just a joke as today is April 1st (April Fools Day).
Let’s see what he says shortly.
However, he did get a lot of reaction for shooting down a report suggesting Jake Paul vs KSI as a boxing match was being put on by him:
“This is not truth don’t lie!”
Certainly there is more sense in the second post.
April 1st is always an interesting day, likely the first post is surely only a joke.
It doesn’t make much since particularly at a time where boxing is buzzing again and is set to go to huge heights in the time ahead.
Unless he was hacked of course — unlikely.
