Hall of Fame boxing promoter Frank Warren knows about bringing through fighters from grass roots to the highest level.
More than most. Many believe him to be one of the great boxing promoters in history.
This weekend Joe Joyce of the UK returns against dangerous Croatian Filip Hrgović.
Speaking to BoxNation earlier Warren said:
“I don’t think the loser is going to be in a very good position. I really don’t. I think the loser of this fight is going to have a really hard time coming back. So it’s a critical fight for them. Certainly for Joyce.”
He added:
“Joe knows it better than you or I. He knows what’s at stake here which is his career. He’s got to win this fight and he’s got to come through it. It’s a tough fight and it’s the same for Hrgovic.”
Hrgovic is a very, very dangerous fighter.
It is a very live fight for both guys this weekend and it is heavyweights as well.
