Tim Tszyu On Why He Chose Opponent Joey Spencer

Tim Tszyu returns this weekend in a huge Sunday of Australian boxing and speaks ahead of the fight.

The man in the opposite corner will be Joey Spencer.

Speaking to Main Event in the build up Tim Tszyu said:

“I remember when I got the list of options. The most ideal and exciting was this guy. I’d seen him before and my sparring partner actually fought him in his last fight.”

He added:

“So I was able to watch that and get a good look into him. As soon as the name Joey Spencer popped up it was a check of approval for me.”

Tszyu will need to have the eye of the Tiger this week to get back to winning ways.

The present right now for boxing is bright and he must seize the opportunity.

Spencer will have something to say about that of course.
