Nigerian Boxer Dies

Nigerian boxer Segun Olanreqaju died this week after a tragic incident in the ring. The details of what happened are now known.

On March 29th 2025 Olanrewaju was was fighting at the Ghana Professional Boxing League.

He was by all accounts doing well in the eight rounder when after the third round things went down hill when he was caught with some shorts and collapsed in the ring.

Shortly after they brought him to hospital was dead at arrival.

This week the autopsy results have stated he died of cardiac arrest, not anything to do with his brain or anything else.

Rest in peace to the Nigerian boxer.

Unfortunately this comes at a time where there has been a lot of death in boxing in recent times.
