Conor Benn and Carl Froch have had some frank exchanges before and it isn’t stopping now ahead of the Chris Eubank Jr fight.
Froch has been critical of Conor Benn recently but still had him on his podcast this weekend.
Speaking to Froch on his podcast Benn told him about when he charged Ben Shalom — Eubank Jr’s promoter — recently on a soccer pitch:
“My dad got hold of him first. I saw a picture of him creeping up behind. Grabbing his throat. Security intervened but it was brilliant to see. My mom won’t be happy but he’s my dad. He saw someone mess with his boy and reacted.”
Nigel Benn his father is considered one of the best boxers from the UK ever in history.
Conor Benn takes on Chris Eubank Jr on April 6th and the promoters really need to get Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank senior more involved in the promotion both next week and the week after.
Conor Benn is a big underdog in the fight at this time.
