Liam Cameron and Ben Whittaker battle it out again soon after fighting to a draw in 2024. The mind games are underway.
The two fight for a second time on April 20th on a Sunday for a change next week.
Speaking to Johnny Nelson of the ‘Gloves Are Off’ program on Sky Sports — Cameron said:
“Here’s the thing with Ben he’s trying to get his mind right. He’s come in different and I like this Ben. Last time it was like I was nothing. Just a piece of meat. But I’m another human being who’s coming to win. I’m no journeyman. I’ve got a lot on the line.”
He then said:
“There’s pressure on me with this fight because I’ve got thousands of people wanting me to win. One thing I’ve got is respect. I respect every fighter. It wasn’t like that the first time. It was dismissive. Arrogant. Everything about him. Even his clothes. Now he’s a completely different guy.”
Let’s see what happens on the night next week.
Both will have improved from last year and be looking for blood in the rematch next week.
