For now the Dillian Whyte vs Joe Joyce fight has been called off due to a last minute unforeseen circumstances.

This happens in contact sport and in all professional sport, not only boxing, where injuries occur.

Per Ring Magazine and Talk Sport on X Whyte had to pull out of the upcoming fight with Joyce due to injury.

It is thought Joyce will still box on April 5th and is looking for a new opponent now.

This is the key change in boxing as a sport at the high level at the moment, it now is able to get quality opponent replacements in at short notice and keep big cards going.

That ability will be crucial to boxing this year and in the years ahead in the return to boxing as a huge sport worldwide as part of its continued growth, development and at some point, boom time for the sport as things continue.
