Dmitry Bivol recently won the undisputed light-heavyweight championship of the world beating Beterbiev in the rematch.
He won on points and like the first fight, it was a brilliant fight.
Speaking a short time ago on Instagram Bivol posted:
“Waiting for the next move with my best team.”
Clearly he is ready to fight again already, the above is a great sign.
Likely it will not be against David Benavidez next up, more likely Artur Beterbiev III.
As boxing is set to come into a very big time this year, and in the years ahead after that, if that best fighters in the world can fight even just a little more regularly, like twice a year, that would be excellent.
Three times a year like the UFC would be even better of course, imagine all the major world champions and best fighters in each weight division always fighting one another regularly?
You don’t need as much turnaround time anymore either to market professional sports events due to the technological live environment in which they now live and operate within in societies.
Put on great fights and people will tune in and attend them.
