Previously it was thought at Dmitry Bivol vs David Benavidez fight may not happen, at least this year.
Not the case possibly now though.
Saudi adviser Turki Alalshikh stated recently he was no longer interested in bidding on the fight.
However Ring Magazine on X are now reporting the fight may in fact happen as PBC (Benavidez’ handlers) and Matchroom (Bivol’s promoter) are close to making the deal to make a fight for this summer after the WBC ordered the fight.
This is truly great news.
What a fight for Bivol’s undisputed light-heavyweight championship and well deserved for ‘The Monster’ David Benavidez after his recent win over David Morrell.
This will be a fight for the ages, Bivol maybe the slicker boxer slightly of the two but Benavidez will be coming all guns blazing with his marauding, bull dozing, steam rolling fight style.
