Artur Beterbiev took a little pause from boxing, interviews and social media following the first loss of his professional career.
Totally normal to do so of course.
At the weekend on Instagram this went a little under the radar from him breaking his silence:
“After a little rest, my body pulled me to the gym. I started light workouts. I’m doing all the things my body got used to over the years. Everything is going as it should, everything is going according to plan. And the plans of the Almighty are always better than ours”
He’s right. Nobody can stop Almighty God, the main man of course.
Beterbiev is a class act inside and outside the ring and he can easily box at the highest level of world championship boxing into his 40s if he wants to the way he looks after himself and the way sports science is now.
The third fight with Bivol might be on hold if Bivol takes on David Benavidez immediately next but surely Beterbiev, if that happens, will face the winner.
