Skye Nicolson lost her world title belt this weekend in Australia on home soil no less — she has let the dust settle before giving her proper reaction.
She lost her featherweight title on points to American Tiara Brown.
Speaking a short time ago on X Nicolson said:
“Wasn’t my night. No excuses. Congratulations to Tiara Brown. This is her moment. I will rise again”
Boxing fans are unanimous in respect for the Australian fighter:
A class act is what she is.
Hopefully a rematch can be made as many disagreed with some of the scorecards as well.
Unexpected given the fact it was in Nicolson’s home country of Australia.
