Former heavyweight champion David Haye has learned of the news of the passing of George Foreman and gives his reaction.
Speaking to GB News Haye said:
“He was a living legend—obviously until today, when the sad news came in. He embodied the fact that, even after losing a high-profile fight against Muhammad Ali, 20 years later he went on to do the unthinkable and beat a 26-year-old Michael Moorer when he was a massive underdog, proving his greatness.”
The unthinkable to some — not to Foreman.
He knew what he was doing and waited for the right moment, like great champions do.
Respect also to Haye and all the other fighters for the well wishes for Foreman’s career and life this weekend.
