William Zepeda got the win over Tevin Farmer in Mexico and commentator Teddy Atlas has analyzed it.
The fight was a good one and Farmer gave a great account of himself. Even in defeat.
Speaking on his podcast today Teddy Atlas said of the fight:
“Look Zepeda kept coming. He’s a fun guy to watch but that’s only going to keep up for so long. You know what I mean? That gig’s going to be up one day when he fights a guy who can do what Farmer did but with more power and a little fresher. Zepeda’s the fresher fighter. Like I said there’s miles on that odometer for Farmer.”
Straight to the point as always from Atlas.
He makes a good point in that Zepeda will be tested more soon enough if he is put in there with one of the top tier champions.
Huge respect to Farmer though — as tough as they come.
His stock will have gone up even in defeat in last weekend’s rematch with Farmer.
