American boxing standout young fighter Gervonta Davis takes on Mexican boxing star Abner Mares next month in one of the toughest fight to date for the Baltimore native.
Davis, a former world champion has never lost in the ring as of yet and only lost his belt on the scales back in 2017 when he co-headlined the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor event.
While 2018 was a frustrating year for ‘Tank’ he is now back on good terms with his promotional company and specifically its CEO Leonard Ellerbe — who works closely with the young fighter and is thought to be very fond of him.
Some criticism had existed last year about Davis’ weight but as early footage shows this year — he’s managed to get a lot of it off already:
