Anthony Joshua’s First Fight Of 2019 Likely To Be In The US

April 13th at Wembley stadium in the UK has been booked for a long time for Anthony Joshua’s first heavyweight title defence of the year but as time has gone on — more and more it doesn’t look likely to happen.

A big name is being hard to come by for the date and after Dillian Whyte publicly expressed he is talking to other promoters recently and was not happy with the first offer he received for Joshua on April 13th.

Even the second offer gone in now looks like it hasn’t gone down too well with him either.

Promoter of Whyte and Joshua, Eddie Hearn has said he doesn’t think Joshua vs Whyte happens even after the new offer.

Speaking to Tha Boxing Voice, Hearn said:

“It looks like Fury and Wilder will rematch. If that’s the case we’re left with two guys really which is Dillian Whyte, who’s been made an offer and now an improved offer. I don’t think that fight (Whyte) will happen personally. And Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller, he hasn’t accepted the offer but that would be Joshua’s US break out fight if you like.”

If no Whyte for Joshua that leaves it down to Jarrell Miller in the US most likely in July at this point which could get his name out there much more to the US public.
