The Daniel Dubois vs Filip Hrgovic fight this weekend on the Hearn vs Warren 5 v 5 card in Saudi has had a big upgrade.
If has now been confirmed officially by the IBF that the fight will be for their ‘interim’ heavyweight title.
This comes at a time where full IBF champion Usyk seeks an exemption.
Not to be stripped of the title since winning it against Tyson Fury recently.
And instead be able to have it on the line when he and Fury again compete again on December 21st.

Dubois and Hrgovic will be next in line for the title now though.
Depending on what happens and now fight for the interim belt this weekend.
If Usyk vacates the belt or is stripped of it in the coming weeks and months ahead, the winner of this weekend’s fight will thus become the new IBF heavyweight champion of the world.
