Crawford shows his knowledge on science here, the human anatomy and more when he gets real on boxing.
Boxing, professional boxing, is about hitting and not getting hit. Taking as few punches as possible is the name of the game.
Speaking to Logan Paul (brother of Jake Paul) on his podcast:
“To have that fire in your stomach to where at that point you really don’t care if you hurt him or not. You want to hurt him. Because you want to win that bad. You understand it’s a fight. And they want to do the same to you. So there’s no friends in boxing. There’s no friends in the ring. You might have friends outside of boxing. Once you step in that ring you’re life is on the line. One punch can end you’re career. You don’t want to go in there playing around. You don’t want to go in there not taking things serious because serious things can happen.”
He continued:
“Going in the ring in a boxing match you typically don’t leave the ring the same. You can’t. When you are getting punched in the brain when the brain is not meant to be punched on, you’re going to have some type of damage. Whether you see it today or you feel like, oh, I’m good. You’ll notice it years down the line.”
It’s very special people who get in the ring in the first place.
Crawford gets back in the ring this coming Saturday in a mega event in LA.
